It's been over ten years since my Aunt Alice and her husband, Uncle Calvin has passed on. My aunty was someone I love so so so very much. Everyone loved her. She had a loving spirit about her. She would draw family and friends in and in that instant you feel her love. I have many special memories of her:
When I was little she dressed me up in this blue dress and brownish-redish boots. I felt like the luckiest kid around.
She bought me microwave popcorn and I was sooo happy because it was microwave popcorn and I did not have to pop it the old fashion way. I ate tons and tons, but later that evening I got sick when everyone else was asleep. She came out and held me tight after I threw up my popcorn. I guess I had tooo much. She rocked me to sleep.
She cut my bangs and fixed my hair for picture day and every time I look at that pic, I remember that day my aunt got me ready.
There are so many more memories, but one was just made recent. Josh and I finished their Temple Work at the Provo Temple. Words cannot explain the feelings and emotions I felt. I'm grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm grateful for Temples and what they stand for. I'm grateful for my husband and for the covenants we have made. From our recent temple experience I am reminded of how precious and sacred they are and how much more I need to value and honor those covenants. I felt joy, happiness, love, and more than any thing was excitement! I felt their excitement to be able to now go forth and serve and do more.. That was it, To BE ABLE TO DO MORE!!! It was an amazing experience and even more amazing to have Josh there by my side.
My kids weren't there to take part, but oh my goodness, how I have a stronger conviction to do everything in my whole being to get them to the Temple!
