Reflection
Well, since the new year is about to dawn on us in about four hours, I can't help but reflect back on the year. This year we lived in four different places. We lived in Nevada, Arizona, Texas, and than finally on the rez, in Arizona. Each of these moves definitely took a toll on us, but I guess it seems the best lessons you learn, are when things seem the toughest, right? I think the biggest thing I learned this year is not being selfish and trying to eliminate the I factor, which to me can be very tough. I learned that when you stop thinking about ...I want it this way, I don't like that, I don't want to do that, I don't like this situation, etc.. (the list can get bigger, believe me), but when you put all that aside and work together as a family or in a companionship, things tend to get done and move along a lot smoother. And now that we are living with my parents, I have to remind myself constantly that having the attitude of I, just does not cut it. Well, with this new thinking in mind I hope that with this new year, I will make better choices and be a better mother to my kids and also a better companion to my hubby. I think this past year I did an okay job, but can improve. I wish everyone a Happy New Year and Happy Holiday's!!! Christmas was fabulous and the kids had fun!!
